I am Sarit, the visionary and founder behind the revolutionary, Checkinbag. I was born in Israel where I grew up and have lived my entire life. Once I finished high school, I studied law and tax consulting, fields in which I worked for many years. I am a mother of three beautiful children, my two sons, Michael and Harel and my daughter, Emmanuel.

In my spare time my interests include reading, dancing and world travel. I especially love getting to know and learn a variety of cultures and people.

Although I spent many years in the law and tax fields, design and product implementation have taken over as my key passions! I was exposed to design at a young age. My grandmother studied fashion design in Vienna, specializing in haute couture. Before I could even read, she had taught me how to sew and that is where my fascination for the world of design was born. From childhood into adulthood, I would sew my own clothes, but when I got married and had my children, life became too busy and I put sewing away, in the back of my mind.

I searched for years to fulfill my need to find the perfect handbag to use on a daily basis, something super practical and functional. I imagined that this must be easy to find, but after years of searching, this wasn’t the case. I wasn’t able to find the perfect bag, no matter how hard I tried to find it.

This re-ignited the flame that I once had for fashion. I was fed-up with searches that rendered no results and all of a sudden, my enthusiasm was reborn and I designed the ultimate ‘gadget’ bag with each compartment carefully crafted, taking into account not only my own needs, but the needs of the female population as a whole. Although I am able to sew, I don’t acquire the skills necessary to manufacture such a unique and in-depth piece and so I have outsourced a wonderful Israeli expert who created my dream bag for me! I soon came to the realization that if I couldn’t find the perfect practical hand bag to simplify my every day, I bet no one else could either and so I have now decided to bring my design to the marketplace to allow everyone to indulge in this piece of practical brilliance.
